Short film, experimental, 5 minutes

At the Estúdios Victor Córdon in Lisbon, the 8th edition of the Território program begins. Young dancers from dance schools across the country come together to create and reinterpret pieces alongside acclaimed artists Marco Goecke and Nadav Zelner.

As though each staircase, hallway and room were a fragment of a common body, the documentary portrays not only a place marked by a long history of performative expression, but also a space of encounter—between identities, cultures, and diverse journeys.

After travels through the Americas, Spain, Italy, and Hong Kong, Pina Bausch was invited in 1998 to work in Lisbon, at the Estúdios Victor Córdon, where she brought to life the acclaimed piece Masurca Fogo. That same year, Pina stated: "Wir sind uns mit unserem Körper am nächsten," which translates to: "We are closest to ourselves through our body."

Accompanying moments that mark the first contact of young dancers with the professional world, this project seeks to celebrate the different territories—both internal and external—that shape our personal and collective identities.
